Google has been really hitting the news these past couple of months, and it seems like it's not stopping there. The ferocious search engine is hungry for innovation, expandination, and moneyhexation (just a little "-ation" rhyming). It seems that Google wants more, and nobody is trying to hit the brakes for them right now. I think that Charles Cooper from News.com couldn't have put it any better,

"Google reminds me a lot of Microsoft, especially during the early days before Bill Gates became a Davos fixture and started hanging with Bono. The common theme: loads of smart people running around chockablock with big ideas about how technology's going to change the world."

For tech bloggers like many others, and myself this is good news. Why? It's easier for us to get more readers to come visit our blogs. That's called the "Jumping on The Google Bubble", mainly as long as Google keeps getting publicity and bloggers keep writing about it, readers are fond to end up on our blogs.

Such keywords to keep in mind for techie blogs that are trying to get more readers,
Toolbars, major competitors, downward/uprising, personalized, source news, and desktop search.These should either go on Meta tags, title tags, or be linked.

After reading the news about Google setting up customized pages to their home page, it wasn't really a shock to me. Some of it's unique features that it'll contain; Lets you displays content you choose on a Google search page suitable for use as a home page. You can include things like Google News and BBC news on the page, and your GMail (click on the link to get your Gmail invite) inbox if you have one. It wasn't going to be long before Google did this to there plain homepage anyways. Yahoo shouldn't be kicking at themselves for this new feature that Google added to their website, what they should be doing is working on other features to improve on something that was introduced by them. Which is the new face of innovative dilemmas going around the web.

When google launched is Google desktop search, it was no shock as well that MSN was going to add that new feature to their "upgraded version". Things like this can be traced down to when Microsoft was first introduced.

When Apple introduced the Macintosh to the nation in a famous ad during the third quarter of the Super Bowl on January 22, 1984. The original Macintosh had 128 kilobytes of RAM, although this first model was simply called "Macintosh" until the 512K model came out in September 1984. The Macintosh retailed for $2495 and was a great success compared to its GUI predecessor, the Lisa priced at $9995. It wasn't until the Macintosh that the general population really became aware of the mouse-driven graphical user interface. Later during the year 1985 Windows came up with Windows 1.0 with some of the features that had been provided by Lisa & Later Macintosh, Windows included:

Graphical user interface (GUI) with drop-down menus, tiled windows, and mouse support. The first time people heard about mouses was introduced by the Macintosh.

Device-independent screen and printer graphics. Macintosh provided the monitor screen for users before Windows

Cooperative multitasking of Windows applications. The same applies to multitasking done by Macintosh.

The story to there success is well known. Windows added the affordably price, and the convenience for it to be a personal computer. If Macintosh would've provided those features people would know Macintosh instead of Windows. With stolen innovations been traced down to the early beginnings of computer, is no wonder competitors today are doing the same. So don't be shocked when Google launches its Google Messenger, but query yourself with this question, what's the new twist?

The report found that companies increasingly are "putting teeth in technology policies." About a quarter of employers have fired workers for misusing the Internet; another 25 percent have terminated employees for e-mail misuse; and 6 percent have fired employees for misusing office telephones, according to the report.

So if you think that your conversation with sally via e-mail was secure, think again!

The New & Improved

Microsoft's Internet Explorer virtually wiped out the Netscape browser in the late 1990's and was subsequently charged with antitrust violations.

But now is back again! After hiding for a year or so, Netscape Navigator finally launches a new version, Netscape 8.0.

Through a simple interface, the browser also makes it easy for users to use features like tabbed browsing, integrated RSS feeds, enhanced privacy settings, multiple web mail accounts, news and weather updates.

It's a much better improvement to the later version. Very easy to use and easy to control, also with the ability to switch from Mozilla to IE, it's very fun to use.

Toolbars have become a popular trend nowadays for leading search engines. Ever since Google introduced the "Google Toolbar" at the end of 2000—other companies have launched various toolbars even earlier. In most cases, they failed to attract a large following. With Google having such success many other search engines want to jump on the band wagon as well, especially after indulging into the idea of adding a desktop search. Now even MSN wants to have a piece of that innovative invention,

Adding a number of enhancements, Microsoft is scheduled to release its upgraded MSN Search Toolbar with Windows Desktop search, allowing document previews from users' hard drives.

What kind of shit? I mean, since when MSN is the Japan of the Web? Basically their new components will be the same, BUT they are adding the desktop search. Great way to compete!

Basically I prefer to use Google Toolbar. Every other toolbar has the same components that Google has, except that some are integrated on other browsers like the Yahoo toolbar can do for Mozilla. Even then, Goolgebar, which is an experimental version for Mozilla to have a toolbar, integrated from Google. Not even Dogpile, which has been rated #1 Toolbar plug-in by PC World Magazine can match up with the edacity that Google, provides for web page owners, or Internet users. With features like: Page rank, page information, auto form, or auto fill. Is no wonder why others still perfer Goolge as there top toolbar?
